One Dead, Three Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver

A 25-year-old Lake, Indiana County correctional officer was killed instantly when the driver of a dark blue SUV left the roadway and struck her and three co-workers from behind while they were running as part of a training program. The three co-workers were seriously injured; the driver fled the scene, but turned himself in to police a day later.

One of the officers hit said they heard an engine rev just as the accident happened and it did not appear the driver of the SUV even attempted to stop. Police say it is too early to tell if the accident was done on purpose and how fast the driver was traveling.

Meanwhile, the young woman’s family must deal with how to care for her 5-year-old daughter. How will they pay for funeral and burial expenses? How will they financially care for this young child?

No legal action can ever bring back a loved one killed in an auto accident, but this family may choose to file a wrongful death lawsuit. The seriously injured victims may also choose to seek the advice of an experience auto accident attorney. During the litigation process expenses may pile up for all four families. One will face the funeral expenses and ordinary household bills, while the three victims may be facing extensive medical care resulting from their injuries. Additionally, they may be out of work.

Lawsuit Financial helps innocent victims during the long legal process by providing a legal service known as lawsuit funding. Litigation funding is immediate financial assistance available to families that find themselves in a similar situation, where a loved one has been seriously injured, killed or disabled by the negligence of another, who are suing the guilty party, and who find themselves behind on their bills and expenses.

Applying for lawsuit funding can be done by phone or online. There is no application fee, monthly payments, or credit checks. The only collateral needed is a pending lawsuit. Approvals arrive in 48 hours or less. Litigation funding services allows plaintiffs the precious time to wait for a fair and equitable settlement; if they desperately need money now, the only other alternative would be to settle a valuable case for pennies on the dollar to pay their bills.
