The holiday season is supposed to be a joyous time, filled
with love, family, memories, good food and gifts. However, for thousands of
injured plaintiffs who are unable to work or pay their bills, this time can be
far from happy.
“Last year we unable to provide gifts for the children and
they were devastated. My wife and I felt
awful and were dreading this Christmas until we heard from Lawsuit Financial
and my attorney.”
With the help of the Michigan Association for Justice,
Lawsuit Financial is working hard to truly make a difference for families. This particular plaintiff is the father of 7
children, ranging in age from 6 months to 17 years old. He was seriously injured in a 2013 accident
and unable to return to work. The only
income is from his wife’s part-time job.
The couple was facing another devastating Christmas for the children
until they were nominated by his attorney for our Adopt-a-Family program. The
couple even decided to forego their own gifts to make this year more joyous for
the children.
Our Adopt-a-Family program paired attorneys with plaintiffs
they’ve never met. The needy families complete a wish list which we forward to
the sponsored attorney; the recipient’s names are kept completely
confidential. Once the attorney shops
for the requested items, the gifts are delivered to our office for final
preparations and distribution to the plaintiffs.
